Springmill is a deed restricted community. As such, there are by-laws and declarations which govern the operation of the community and the responsibilities of the residents.
Springmill community – 362 individual homes on well-spaced lots - was designed for active adults over 55. Amenities include a spacious clubhouse, a pool, tennis and pickleball courts, bocce courts, horseshoe pits and paved meandering paths for walking and running. Our location, just minutes away from shopping and downtown Middletown, makes it perfect.
All the homes have a master bedroom and bath on the first floor and a 2-car garage. Some have a 2nd floor, and a few have a basement. The floor plans can be seen here and photos of each model are also showcased in the video below. Our video also highlights recreational areas and outdoor living environment which makes us all feel like a real community. The Springmill Community Association provides landscaping, snow removal, maintenance of common property, limited maintenance to the exterior of the homes and serves as our voice to the local Town Council.
The Association is managed by a Board of Directors (BOD), consisting of five elected residents. The BOD is assisted in the administration by various Committees, all of whom are themselves volunteer residents. Our vibrant community also boasts numerous activity clubs and groups which enrich the lives of our residents.
Springmill is located off route 71 (Summit Bridge Road) just north of Middletown. It is convenient to Christiana Mall, Christiana Hospital, Dover, the Delaware and MD beaches, Chesapeake and Delaware Cities. Just an hour from the Philadelphia airport and about 15 miles south of I-95, it is an ideal place to find adventure as well as peace and quiet. “Wow, how friendly and welcoming the people of Springmill are” and “I love living in Springmill” are phrases heard every day around here. Our Springmill wave is legendary!
